Paul Frederick Budzinski

Paul Frederick Budzinski “Paul Bud”

Paul Budzinski was born May 18, 1965 in Bay City, Michigan to Julie
and Fred Budzinski. He was welcomed into the family by his two older
sisters Cheryl and Michelle. He left this world peacefully but much
too early on February 21, 2017. Paul graduated from All Saints High
School in Bay City and then went on to Ferris State University in Big
Rapids, Michigan where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business
(Computer Information Systems).

Living and working in Grand Rapids as a System Analyst, he had the
opportunity to move to California in 1988. There he held positions as
Senior Programmer Analyst and Manager of Information Systems with
Cigna, MAI Basic Four and S.E.S. Insurances Services. During his
entrepreneurial period, he started two businesses. Calli Systems
Corporation, a computer consulting firm where Paul employed other
computer experts with specialization in the insurance industry. He
established DiverWest to promote a collapsible snorkel device for the
scuba industry he invented and for which he was granted a US Patent.
The company also sold scuba equipment worldwide. A spare air system he
assembled and sold was responsible for saving the life of a private
pilot. He also managed and was owner of several restaurants in
southern California.

Paul completed three marathons, hiked to the top of Half Dome, twice
parachuted out of private airplanes, played guitar and enjoyed deep
sea fishing. He had a wry sense of humor, knowledge of trivia, was an
avid science enthusiast and acquired loyal and life-long friends.

Paul is survived by sisters, Michelle Hamilton (Paul) of Dana Point,
CA. and Cheryl Kelly (Hugh) of Tucson, AZ. He is also survived by his
niece Jenna Kelly of Austin, TX and numerous cousins.

A private ceremony and burial at sea with family and close friends
will take place out of Dana Point Harbor in Dana Point, CA.
