Steve Kight

Stephen Paul Kight, born May 3, 1968 in Long Beach, CA. The youngest son of Mason T
Kight and Janice L Kight, who were prominent members of the Long Beach community.
Beloved brother, father, friend and known by so many, he has left an empty space
behind.

Steve grew up, lived and worked in Long Beach his whole life. He attended Long Beach
City College (Order of Tong member) and Brigham Young University in Hawaii. Steve
was a Dock Contractor and built many custom residential and commercial floating
docks in southern California. Queensway Bay and Marina Pacifica Marinas being his
most prominent commercial achievements.

Steve passed away on November 6, 2015 and he will be deeply missed by surviving sons
Brendan, 27 and Mason, 7, brothers Greg and Brian, their wives and children, Great
Aunt Jean, Uncle Jan and Aunt Sheila. Steve had an incredible passion for living and
was larger than life, with the biggest smile and heart that touched everyone he met.

Celebration for his life will be held on December 4, 2015 at 12:30 pm at the Bay
Shore Community Congregational Church, 5100 The Toledo, Long Beach, CA 90803.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking people to contribute the ‘Stevie Kight
Memorial Fund’ at www.gofund.me/steviekight to raise awareness around substance
abuse. Alternatively, checks can be made out to the ‘Stevie Kight Memorial Fund’
and sent to Greg Kight at 311 Bayshore Ave. #8 Long Beach, CA 90803.
