I have fond memories of Uncle Paul’s visits to Iowa! He was a special guy and passed away on the same day as our Mom and his sister, Louise. Love to you all.

The first memory that pops into my head is when we had a reunion in Breckenridge and we took a day trip to Leadville in a rented Cadillac to see ann and Steve’s cabin. Joyce’s husband Bob was driving and I was in the back seat with Uncle Paul who was giggling the entire ride up the very narrow, bumpy, rocky dirt road to get there. It’s all second nature to us but they were all very nervous and Uncle Paul’s giggle was part of that nervousness. It was such a funny trip. We enjoyed the trip up there and had a great time and the car was no worse for wear. Aunt Betty has always been so glamorous. I loved her clothes. Another trip I remember was when Peg and I were 16 we came with our folks to So Cal to visit. On New Year’s Eve we went out for dinner and then went to see uncle Paul’s boat. We all were looking at the boat and my mom was a bit tipsy and she said, “Paul, which end is the poop deck!?” I was mortified but the grown ups thought it was hilarious. He was a man I didn’t know well but that the other Wursters told wonderful stories of and so I looked up to him.
