Sarah, Jacob, Emma, Michael and Richard — I am so sorry about your dad. Things will be tough for a while, but they WILL get better. I am your great Aunt Janice; Paul was my nephew, the son of my half-brother, Larry (your grandfather). I understand that your Uncle Kyle and Aunt Glynis have been in California helping you with some stuff. Please know that they love and care about you, and want to help you as much as possible before they have to go home. It may be hard to understand how someone you’ve never met can tell you they love you, but I love you. I loved my brother Larry, and I love his children – Kyle, Paul, and Cherie – and because I loved Paul, I also love you – because you came from him. Take care of each other and love each other, and keep your family strong.
