John William Fyda, 73, passed away on March 3, 2019 in Fullerton, California.  He was born on January 16, 1946 in Puyallup, Washington. He is survived by his daughters, Dianne Hertz (husband Tom Hertz), Federal Way, WA and Erin Baker (husband Justin Baker), Corona, CA; his sons, John Fyda, Jr., Buckley, WA, Jason Fyda (wife Holly Fyda), Corona, CA, and Michael Fyda, Mansfield, TX; his four grandsons, Jacob Hertz, Hudson Baker, Avery Fyda and Rowan Fyda; his brother Reginald Kelley, Lincoln, CA; his sisters, Kathy Powers, Puyallup, WA and Mary Price, Glenoma, WA; his three cats Jimmie Sue, Annie Mae and Gracie; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  He was preceded in death by his dad Frank Fyda, mom Mary Kelley (Fyda), brother Frank Fyda, and sister Nancy January.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, cats, grand dogs, walking, soaking up the sun, country music, attending and watching NASCAR races and Dallas Cowboys games.

In California, a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 1 pm at Fullerton Village Apartments Clubhouse, 219 N. Acacia Ave., Fullerton, CA.

In Washington, a Military Honors Service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sumner City Cemetery, 12324 Valley Ave. E, Sumner, WA, with a Celebration of Life immediately following at 12:30 pm at the Wilkeson Eagles, 534 Church St., Wilkeson, WA.
